{"id":1551,"date":"2019-06-18T11:36:30","date_gmt":"2019-06-18T11:36:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bbe-toolbox.eu\/?post_type=partner&#038;p=1551"},"modified":"2019-07-03T15:10:37","modified_gmt":"2019-07-03T15:10:37","slug":"union-of-pensioners-ruse-district","status":"publish","type":"partner","link":"https:\/\/bbe-toolbox.eu\/institution\/union-of-pensioners-ruse-district\/","title":{"rendered":"Union of Pensioners 2004 \u2013 Ruse District"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Union of Pensioners \u2013 Ruse District was till 2019 a branch of the Union of Pensioners\u20192004 &#8211; the biggest&nbsp;organization of older people in Bulgaria at present numbering over 80 000 members, with local structures in 25 districts altogether.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Union of Pensioners \u2013 Ruse District has\nbeen set up with the aim of protecting the rights and interests as well as the\nprestige and dignity of senior citizens in Bulgaria who are to be treated\nequally in the society. They are entitled to adequate medical care and\ntransportation and have their cultural and intellectual needs to be met. The\nUnion is also aiming at certain legislative changes regarding fair social and\npension insurance so that the members should be better socially and\neconomically integrated into the European society.\n\n\n\nSome 3900 seniors belong to our Rousse district\norganization. Local structures have been set up in all district communities\nsuch as 78 societies and clubs and 67 groups for amateur art activities with\nmore than 1000 participants. UPRD is making every effort to improve the way of\nlife of its members. Traditional festivities and amateur art festivals are\nbeing regularly organized. Many seniors enjoy the opportunities for summer\nrecreation.
