Regular transnational meetings\nensured a good project progress. There were the following six very important\nmeetings: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1st meeting:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Gdansk,\nPL&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Nov 02 &#8211; 05, 2011<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2nd meeting:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Fuengirola,\nES&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Feb 15 &#8211; 17, 2012<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3rd meeting:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Klaip\u0117da,\nLT&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Jul 04 &#8211; 06, 2012<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4th meeting:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Tulcea,\nRO&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Sep 26 &#8211; 29, 2012<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5th meeting:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Mola\ndi Mari, IT Mar 20 &#8211; 23, 2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6th meeting:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Graz,\nAT&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Jul 10 &#8211; 23, 2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the meetings partners worked in groups,\ndiscussing different aspects of volunteering. Older learners and volunteers\nhave always participated in the meetings, as their meaning and approach was\nvery important. Discussion groups, involving volunteers and volunteer organizations\nwere also created on national level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the SenVol project the partners exchanged\nand gained experience from other countries in the field of volunteering. The\nproject aimed to raise awareness for the importance of volunteering. It showed\nvolunteering of older people in different settings and cultures of the\nparticipating countries and showed &nbsp;also that\nour society nowadays would not really work without volunteering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SenVol highlighted also the learning process\nthat happens during volunteering. And we also promoted the fact that older\npeople have a unique knowledge and lots of experiences and can pass their\nknowledge, values, traditions, culture to others, also to younger generations.\nSenVol promoted the process of active ageing and it gave senior volunteers an\nopportunity to share their knowledge, skills and experiences with others, on\nregional and European level, for a constant and better integration of\nvolunteers in active life. That\u2019s why we involved the target group of older\npeople in the project and encouraged them to participate in voluntary work not\nonly in their regions, but also at European level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the project the partners collected and\nreflected on good practices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples of senior volunteering:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Universities of Third Age, where older people contribute to the cultural promotion of the participants through courses on specific subjects and art labs;<\/li><li>Charitable service where older people take care of poor people that are weak and helpless;<\/li><li>Volunteering organizations helping elderly people, disabled people, migrants, women in difficulty\u2026;<\/li><li>Associations of transgenerational transmission of culture and work; As an outcome the project partners developed a guideline for volunteers and for volunteer organizations. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project partners:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> bia-net Netzwerk Bildung im Alter, Austria &#8211; Project coordinator<\/li><li>EOI \u2013 Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Fuengirola, Spain<\/li><li>Towarzystwo Edukacyjne \u201eWiedza Powszechna\u201d, Poland<\/li><li>Socialini\u0173 moksl\u0173 kolegijos Student\u0173 klubas; Lithuania<\/li><li>Universita\u00b4Terza Eta\u00b4Mola di Bari, Italy<\/li><li>Liceul Pedagogic, Romania<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-1721","project","type-project","status-publish","hentry","keyword-cooperation","keyword-education","keyword-lifelong-learning","keyword-production","keyword-skills","keyword-social-inclusion","keyword-solidarity","keyword-vocational"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/bbe-toolbox.eu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/1721","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/bbe-toolbox.eu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/bbe-toolbox.eu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/project"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/bbe-toolbox.eu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/5"}],"version-history":[{"count":12,"href":"https:\/\/bbe-toolbox.eu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/1721\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2550,"href":"https:\/\/bbe-toolbox.eu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/1721\/revisions\/2550"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/bbe-toolbox.eu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1721"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
