In the project “Danube Women City Guide” 50 contemporary and historical women’s life stories were portrayed with the aim of making the influence and work of women in the respective cities visible and to make a contribution to the European Union’s equality strategy. In a pilot project, a mobile app was created to address women and men of different ages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the course of this project, alternative women’s city tours were developed in various cities along the Danube. Together, women went on a voyage of discovery, they appreciated the contributions of women, discussed gender history and gave the opportunity to reflect on their own understanding of roles. The influence and work of women in the respective cities was made visible and a contribution made to the European Union’s gender equality strategy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
These women’s stories were researched and laid out for a book and city tours by students and pupils. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
