The golden topic stimulated the participation,\nmotivated the learners and made them the principal actors of the learning\nprocess. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partners have created the shared classes that\nwere put all the above mentioned together and make use of the synergic effect\nof it.  Project increased the ICT and\nlanguage knowledge with the strong contribution to the intergenerational\nexchange (mixed age groups in the mixed classes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This kind of shared classes has enabled putting\nseniors together with the younger generations and learned from each other in\nthe safe environment of the class. Especially the cooking classes were the ones\naimed at intergenerational exchange and communication: older learners searched\nfor the old recipes of their grandparents and they cooked them and taste them\ntogether and thus learned from each other. \nWhere it is not possible to have a real kitchen, the cooking classes\nwere virtual:  the recipes were\nintroduced by PowerPoint presentation, photo research etc., and of course,\neverything shared. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Self-confidence is an essential asset for\nseniors. Positive self-esteem has been linked to factors such as psychological\nhealth, mattering to others, and both body image and physical health. The\nproject has provoked participants to focus on identifying strengths, positive\nassets, resources and using these strengths to cope with life challenges <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to help senior generations to\nkeep as active as possible, in order to preserve the heritage and not lose the\ncontact with the past and the culture as it was few generations ago. By the\nshared classes and the actions, seniors contributed directly to this goal by\nbeing directly involved and promote their experiences, ideas and knowledge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooking, dining and food processing is an\nimportant part of all cultures and all countries keep some of the ancient ways\nof food preparation as the cultural treasure. Many of old cooking ingredients have\nbeen forgotten or replaced by the modern (but artificial) stuff, especially\nspices, vegetables, herbs, fruits.  In\nshared classes was promoted the healthy and organic way of cooking, as well as\norganic ways of gardening and vegetable growing as well as the awareness of\nbiodiversity issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This projects has put all the above mentioned together in the unique methodology with the very strong synergic effect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
