at University of the Third Age at Brno University of Technology (BUT)

Goals of the project: The opening of the Internet to seniors

  1. To extend knowledge of the senior students.
  2. To respect the hobbies of the seniors and to give them the possibility to create contacts with their colleagues by means of the Internet.
  3. To realise conditions for long-time co-operation by means of Internet through the matter-of-fact structure and methodical orientation of this project

The BUT prepared the first variant of the project The Opening of the Internet to Seniors to the present time. This project variant has three main parts:

The first part of the project has a matter-of-fact character. It is also possible to say - a matter-of-fact structure. This matter-of-fact structure and contents was prepared by the individual faculties. The project is specialised in keeping with seniors' interests.

The second part of the project has a methodical character. In this case is also possible to say - the project has mainly a methodical orientation. The contents of this part were prepared by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication and by the Faculty of Information Technology.

The first and second part of the project respect the orientation of the third year of the University of the Third Age on BUT.

The third part of the project has synthetic character. In this part the connection between the matter-of-fact structure of the project and its methodical orientation will be realised. The accent is on using of the Internet.
