Introduction

Stand:

In this section, the partner groups working on the subject Housing and Living Spaces present their work results. In the first project year, these were Universities of the Third Age at the Universities of Granada and Lyon and the Volksuniversiteit Arnhem.
Each of these three partner groups has selected a different subject of study in the given thematic area. University of the Third Age at the Volksuniversiteit Arnhem has been working on the subject “Seniors and their living accommodation”, the seniors at the University in Lyon on the subject of “Renovation of a historical quarter of Lyon La Montée de la Grande Côte” and the seniors in University of Granada on the subject “The Home”, with aspects such as the evolution of buying and building a house and the house as a home.

Co-operation between these three partners took place in the form of exchange of questions and answers on the researched subjects and the contributions to the subject from the other two partners. Furthermore, in the second year, contributions to the subjects were made also from partners in the University of the third age in Ceske Budejovice, Vicenza and ZAWiW in Ulm. The answers gave the researched subjects a European dimension.

Communication took place via a multilingual forum developed by the University of the Third Age in Lyon. This forum is located in the homepage created for this project by the University of the Third Age in Lyon which also provided the area Housing and Living Spaces with a platform for information, presentation of work documents and research results in the first project year.
