2nd Panel in Croatia: EU – yes or no?

Senior debate club: The European Union – yes or no?
Thesis:

1.     Unity is in variety, the EU is not a  sur-culture
2.     Croatia will enrich the European cultural and national identity, and it will not use its own
3.     The experience of living in a multinational community is developed in Croatia because there are many national minorities that live together and their minority rights are acknowledged.
4.    Joining the EU would increase the culture of work,  enhancing the entrepreneurship and healthy competition.
5.    Adjusting to the unified educational system and possibility of further education in the EU as well as student exchange programmes would increase better coping with the labour market.
6.     There is a fear of increase of unemployment rates because of cheaper labour.
7.   New possibilities of developing agriculture should be found, especially ecological food production and healthy environment.
8.    We should work on preservation of waters and other natural resources which are plentiful in Croatia, and stop the possibility of privatization of waters and other resources.

Art workshop results:

Participants present their artistic expressions on the topic European and national identity and cultural heritage
