Socially many things changed after WWII especially after 1960 and with this the eating habits of the Dutch.

Prosperity increased. In 1961 the first foreign workers arrived in Holland from countries around the Mediterranean Sea, people went on holiday more and sometimes even to foreign countries. France became a very attractive holiday country and ¨French bread¨ was introduced to The Netherlands.

The whole family, grown-ups and children alike took part.
