Bread in Italy

In Italy, bread is a common type of food which is usually made by baking a dough of wheat flour, yeast, water and salt (sometimes Indian corn, oat, barley or rye are used).
Comparisons with other European countries show that, while in Germany, Scandinavia and the Soviet Union bread is mostly rye bread, and in Hungary it is made by mixing wheat flour and potato powder, Italian bread is mainly made of wheat flour, it is eaten with every meal, and at different times of the day.
