![]() Reply from UlmStand:A. Contribution of Horst SchwiebertOur researches in the Internet brought many examples of different forms of
accommodation for elderly people. We want to describe here five examples of
interesting experiments. 1. Care for the elderly in substitute families (Altenpflegefamilie)Example from Herdecke, North-Rhine-Westphalia The idea behind this project is to provide professional help in a family
atmosphere. Description: Rooms have the size of approx. 40 m², have bath/shower, can
partly be furnished with own furniture. Further equipment includes a telephone,
cable/SAT-TV, balcony, fridge, safe, smoke alarm. The house is situated near a
forest with possibility of walking, there is a shopping facility in the
neighbourhood as well as a bank, post office, church, restaurants and a bus stop.
There are pets allowed and there are special services such as a hairdresser, a
chiropodist, gymnastics and church services at home. Source: Internet http://www.altenarbeit.de/einrichtungen/5000/niebius.html I interviewed this family, composing a questionnaire of 15 questions. |
