“What has the SOLiLL project meant to me?”

María A. Ruiz

“The experience along the two years of participation in the project SOLiLL has been fruitful. Moreover, I have been personally enriched thanks to the relationship with the group members and the four facilitators. Among other things, I have learnt to use the new technologies, to implement self-learning techniques, some notions of computers and pedagogy; I have learnt as well how I must present a paper in a conference and how to collect data for research.

As a human being, I have discovered the people in the project SOLiLL, not only my mates in Granada but those with whom I prepared my participation in the conference convened in Germany. My lack of English language has constituted a major limitation for me whenever communication through Internet with our international partners had to be run; I have not been able either to take advantage of the virtual translator –babelfish.altavista.com.

Furthermore, I have gained skills to be critic, to make a better reading of texts and to summarise what is more important. As a way of conclusion, my participation in the project within the group of the University of Granada has been really widely enriching.”
