SoLiLL stands for self-organised leaning in later life. In this two year project funded by the Socrates Grundtvig programme of the European Commission which started in the year 2000, the concept of "gemeinsamlernen" has been developed for international co-operation. Here, autonomous learning groups of older people in six locations in Europe are working together with the aid of the new communication technologies on the subjects "Eating culture - Bread" and "Housing and Public Places".
