Wholemeal bread has appeared recently, given the current preoccupation with obesity.

NOTE:
The bread from Alfacar, a village about ten minutes´drive from Granada, is famous. In early May, 2002, a group of bakers came from Japan to learn how it is made. The group proposed to take some bakers back to Japan with them, to teach the process to bakers there. Pepe Ruíz, the host baker in Alfacar explained that in spite of the language difficulties, the communication was almost perfect because the bakers had so much in common. (Ideal, the Granada daily newspaper, May 10th, 2002)
