European Citizens' Prize 2014

The Wiener Volkshochschule Alsergrund was awarded the European Citizens’ Prize of the European Parliament for Austria for the European Learning Partnership "Unlearned Lessons - Women on the Rise". In this project, the Vienna project group together with groups from Ulm, Lodz and Alicante presented the portraits of more than 100 courageous women from the 19th and the 20th century, who contributed in an exceptional way to the emancipation of women in the respective countries in various areas such as women's rights, arts, literature, sciences, etc.
