1st meeting of the partners in Ulm, Germany, 13 -16 February 2011

Between 13. and 16. February 2011, the partners of DASUN had met in a three day seminar in Ulm, hosted by ZAWiW of Ulm University. The partners, both Universities and their cooperating NGOs, introduced their current programs, structures and aims in the area of education of older adults. Following an impulse lecture from Acad. Dir. Carmen Stadelhofer, the Director of ZAWiW, discussed and analysed were good practices in academic-oriented education of older adults and their applicability in the various national contexts. Compared were also the learner needs in the partner countries and fields in which they can engage themselves in the post-professional phase. Finally, the partners designed strategies and time-schedule for implementation of the project activities.

The project partners were received at the Donaubüro in Ulm by its Manager Sabine Meigel and by Gerhard Hölzel, the 2nd Mayor of Neu-Ulm responsible for the area of Schools, Culture, Sport and Social Affairs.
