Skype meeting U3A Slupsk-ViLE e.V. Ulm

Volunteer senior consultants help foreign students

On the 21st of May, a Skype meeting took place between the ViLE e.v. Germany and the U3A Slupsk group in Poland. Following the reports made in Glasgow, both groups have learned that their senior volunteers act as consultants to foreign students at the Academia Pomorska in Slupsk and Ulm University.

The questions asked in the Skype meeting were:
How do you make contact with the students?
Do you advertise or make information meetings?
What are your concrete offers like?
Do you react spontaneously on their whishes, problems, needs?
What are your main acivities?
When the students leave Slupsk again what happens?
Are there long-term contacts and what are they like?

Furthermore, discussed were possible future forms of cooperation between the two organisations.

  1. It is great that so many skype meetings took place between the partners. It is a way to create proximity and learn from each others how we work in our countries. Let’s do more!
