“Flashmeeting” between Slupsk and Ulm, 8th of March

On the 8th of March, 2012, we have met for the second time online our friends from Slupsk. We have used this time another technology than Skype: the “Flashmeeting”. It is online conferencing system provided by the Open University in the UK. It is more formal than Skype, only one person can talk at a time and must ask for word, but when one gets used to it, it is all in all a very good way to meet.

Discussed on that day were amongst other things the presentations for Glasgow, one of the subjects that both our organisations have chosen is voluntary work with immigrants in the cities of Slupsk and Ulm. Besides this, we could exchange experiences about fundraising actions:  members of both our groups create knitted / crochet objects to raise money for charitable purposes. Just per chance we had some with us to show :-)
