Mein Ehrenamt in Berlin
Bei der Awo in der Adalbertstrasse fand mein erster Auftritt als ehrenamtlicher Mitarbeiter statt. Das war im Jahr 2000. Dann kam etwas später die Falkensteinstrasse dazu. Beide sind Begegnungsstätte für türkische Landleute. Mir macht die Arbeit viel Freude, weil ich mit sehr vielen Menschen zusammenkomme und mein Fachwissen als Elektriker oft gefragt ist. Seit einigen Monaten spiele ich sogar ehrenamtlich Theater mit anderen Senioren. Wir sind dort richtig Multikulti. Eine Polin, ein Iraner, vier Türken und sechs Deutschen. Das macht richtig Spaß. Man kann auch mal wunderbar ganz anders sein: richtig wütend oder aber sehr nachsichtig und geduldig. Je nachdem was in der Rolle verlangt wird. Bei dieser Arbeit verdient man einfach mehr Verständnis für den Anderen und für seine Kultur.

This project shows that people coming from different countries can bring a lot of good feeling to each others. Through volunteering, this person is enjoying the work he is doing. Furthermore, beyond the religious and cultural specific elements of his background, he has no difficulties to get in touch and work with other people of diferent cultural background.. We like the positive energy he transmits in this article. We can really feel that he is fully involved in growing personally while his efforts help the whole group to grow as well. bardzo wazne, a przez sztuke najŁatwiej poznac sie. Takie wielokulturowe kontakty mog ą wzbogacac ludzi, bo sztuka Łą czy ludzi, ale mogą tez poglebic nietolerancje i nienawisc. Wazne, zeby w codziennych kontaktach ludzie poznawali swoje odmiennosc, wspoŁpracowali ze soba przy realizacji wspolnych planow. Pomoze to zrozumiec, ze inny czŁowiek to nie znaczy gorszy lub wrog. Ludzie roznych kultur powinni ze soba wspoŁpracowac i sobie pomagac.
