John Travers

John Travers

John Travers retired in 2008 after a career teaching English and History and as an educational administrator.  In the latter capacity, he was involved in organising a number of European projects under Comenius and other programmes.  He has studied Spanish for a number of years and occccasionally translates Spanish to English for a number of Spanish agencies. He is currently studying Italian (Intermediate level).

In relation to volunteering, he has the CELTA certificate and worked for a time with refugees and asylum seekers in Glasgow who wanted to learn English. He is also a voluntary museum guide.

John is keen to be involved in the project as he feels it sounds interesting and he would enjoy working again with European colleagues.
